Early Formation • Pre-Launch
RELAY (Resistance Education & Language Access by Youth) is a youth-led AMR translation network dedicated to bridging the global health gap. We are currently in our early formation stage, building a framework to enable safer antibiotic use by translating critical AMR resources into underserved languages.
The scale of the problem is vast: ~98% of AMR literature is published in English, yet 6.5B people globally do not speak it, and 4B people do not speak one of the UN & WHO's six official languages. According to the WHO multi-country survey, 76% of people misunderstand AMR, a crisis projected to cause 10M deaths annually by 2050.
Youth Leadership
RELAY (Resistance Education & Language Access by Youth) is a student-founded and youth-led initiative in its early formation stage. We are building a global network where early-career professionals lead AMR translation and education programs pre-launch.
Local Co-Design
We bridge the language gap for the 6.5B people who do not speak English by co-designing our models with local communities. Our early-stage workflow ensures transparency and equity as we prepare resources for underserved language groups.
Evidence-Based Practice
Grounded in WHO multi-country surveys and the Review on AMR, our pilots target the misuse and overuse of antibiotics. Since 98% of technical literature is in English, we translate verified science into actionable guidance for safer antibiotic use.
